Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of hahanet.ai, the owner dashboard, and Hahanet's booking interfaces for AI assistants, including mcp.hahanet.ai. Hahanet is run by Hagen Qian ("Hahanet", "we"). By using Hahanet you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Hahanet is

Hahanet is a booking tool. It shows a business's services and open times, and lets customers book them, either directly or through an AI assistant. The appointment is an agreement between the customer and the business. Hahanet doesn't provide the services, employ the businesses, or guarantee their work.

2. For business owners

• Eligibility. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business you list.
• Accurate listings. Keep your services, prices, hours and booking settings current. Customers and AI assistants rely on them.
• Honoring bookings. Bookings confirmed through Hahanet are commitments to your customers. In approve mode, confirm or decline requests within the time shown in your dashboard. Unanswered requests expire.
• Licenses and insurance. You're responsible for any licenses, permits, insurance and tax obligations your work requires, for example a Pennsylvania cosmetology or barber license.
• Your customers' information. Use it only to serve that customer and to run your business. Don't sell it, and don't send people marketing they haven't agreed to.
• Permission to show your listing. You let us display, copy and format your listing content (name, services, prices, hours, photos, descriptions). We show it on Hahanet, in search results, and through the interfaces AI assistants use, so people can find and book you. You keep ownership of your content and can remove it at any time.
• Your account. Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.

3. Fees

• Free during the Pittsburgh pilot. Hahanet is free for businesses during the Pittsburgh pilot.
• Before any fee starts, we will email you at least 30 days in advance. The email will say which bookings are billable and what each one costs. You can close your account before then and owe nothing.
• When fees apply, we will charge the card on file monthly for the billable bookings in that month. Each invoice lists the bookings it covers. If you think a booking was billed by mistake, for example a client you already had, tell us within 30 days and we'll review it.
• Taxes. Fees don't include taxes, which we add where the law requires.

4. Deposits and payments

• Businesses can require a deposit when customers book. Payments are processed by Stripe. To take deposits, a business needs a Stripe account and must agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
• The business sets its deposit amount and its cancellation and refund policy. Both are shown to customers before they pay.
• Refunds follow the business's policy. Hahanet carries out refunds the business authorizes, and any refund the law or card network rules require. Unless the business sets different terms, cancellations at least 24 hours before the appointment are refunded.

5. For customers

• Give accurate contact details. We and the business use them to confirm and manage your appointment.
• A booking is confirmed when the confirmation page or email says so. Pending requests are not confirmed.
• Cancel or change a booking with the link in your confirmation email. The business's own policies (late arrival, no-shows, deposits) apply.
• Book only appointments you intend to keep.

6. Bookings made by AI assistants

• If you ask an AI assistant to book for you, you're responsible for that booking once you confirm it. Unless the assistant's platform is a Hahanet partner, we email you a link, and the booking holds only if you click it within 15 minutes.
• Your use of the assistant is governed by its provider's terms. Hahanet isn't responsible for what an assistant says or does, or for mistakes it makes before its request reaches us. We are responsible for the booking that results.
• Operators of AI assistants and apps: you may use Hahanet's MCP server and agent-readable pages within published rate limits. Partner API keys are confidential and may not be shared. We can suspend or revoke access to protect businesses, customers or the service.

7. Acceptable use

Don't:

• make fake or bulk bookings, or bookings you don't intend to keep;
• scrape, copy or resell Hahanet data, except through the interfaces we publish for that purpose;
• get around rate limits, confirmation steps or security measures;
• impersonate someone, or book using another person's contact details without their permission;
• use Hahanet for anything unlawful, harassing or harmful.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Hahanet or close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll give notice first. Fees already owed stay owed. Sections 1, 3, 9, 10 and 11 continue after your account closes.

9. Disclaimers

Hahanet is in an early pilot. It is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We aren't responsible for the services businesses provide, or for disputes between customers and businesses. Calendar sync depends on Google and may lag.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Hahanet isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost bookings. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Businesses agree to cover Hahanet's costs from claims caused by their services, their listings, or their breach of these terms.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Pennsylvania law. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Before filing anything, please email legal@hahanet.ai so we can try to resolve it.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here, and for material changes we'll email business owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Hahanet after that means you accept the new terms.
